So click the 10 button once, and the 1 button twice - to add back your asymptotically modified 12 points that you should have received. So there are some buttons next to the Rep for adding and subtracting - but the buttons use the asymptote calculation. Not only did it subtract 13 rep in your case, but it also failed to add 12 more. This Console command sets a precise absolute value on your Reputation.Īnd now for the final step, go back to the Cheats tab. Or whatever your Rep was before the subtraction for the failure. Go to the Console tab, and type /Reputation 666.666 Mentally add 25.2839 (or whatever your log file says got subtracted) - to figure out what your exact Reputation was before. It tells you your exact current Rep value. So now you open your Debug Menu to the Cheats tab. So in your case, it will say something like -25.28393645 (-13). That is, +5 does not match -5 after being modified by the asymptote calculation. But the asymptote calculation is not symmetric going up vs going down. As can be seen in this screenshot from the tracking station, the probe is orbiting Kerbin. The number in front of the (5) is the number that comes out of the asymptote calculation, which is 2.382732 - and that's the number that actually modifies the Rep. I am running KSP 1.9.1 with both expansions and with the most common mods.Having just started a new career game, I am currently just getting the early-game contracts which ask me to achieve any orbit around Kerbin (no specific orbital inclinations). In my example it tried to add 5 rep, but the 5 gets modified by the asymptote calculation. So, in your case, the system will try to subtract 13 from your rep for the failure. (At the end of that line, it should tell you again what the science, rep, and funds rewards were supposed to be.) Let's keep going and see where it takes us! Contract (Explore The Mun.): We have taken our first steps towards exploring The Mun. Added 2.382732 (5) reputation: 'ContractReward'. Awarding 5 reputation to player for contract completion Look in the file, and find the Contract Failure log report - should be something like this, except a failure: (The identical info is in your output_log.txt file, but that's harder to find.) If you want your Rep fixed, here's how you do it: However, all the info that you need is in the KSP.log file in your main game directory. The rep calculation is very complicated, being an asymptotic S curve between -1000 and +1000. sfs and how I would repair it? Is there a writeup somewhere on modifying rep by hand? I couldn't find one. I don't see a comprehensible number for rep anywhere other than the metadata file.ĭo you know where I would find it in the. The contract has 12 for completion and - 13 for failure. wouldn't think so, but you never know.Rep is a little different, I don't understand how that's calculated. not sure if that is something that conflicts. I would like to see some details out on the Wiki on it from someone who knows the details. So the deployed science seems a bit weird or buggy at this point. That said, my new station in my new game save has not transmitted yet, so I may need to send up a antenna once I unlock it. In another post someone said that it is required that you have one of the little deployable antenna's to transmit the science if you are not at KSC, but the KerbNet shows my station on the mun is connected, so that doesn't make seem to jive. making lots of quick saves prior to deploying science just to have a place to go back to prior to the science bugging out on me. I've since started a 3rd new game save to see if that changes anything. this was in a new game save since my first post. mine was telling me I was at 1790% of the deployed science from the moon, and I hadn't even deployed there yet. I have a similar problem on other stations (one on The Mun and the other 500m from the launch site), some of the experiments indicate they're no longer connected, some others I get nothing when right clicking on it, even though they have power and in range of a comm station. When I go to my station, it says that the goo experiment is not connected anymore, it is located 2.1m from the control. The number keeps growing, I guess I'll never get that contract fulfilled ("We wanted exactly 50%! This is too much!" ). The contract status says "Collected 859% or 50% of the Surface Deployed Mystery Goo Observation science on Minmus.". There might be a bug with this feature, I have accepted such a contract after I already had a station on Minmus (control + weather station + goo observation).
